Here's Verizon's latest attempt at glitzy DROID branding, this time in the form of an augmented reality game. The battle mechanic itself doesn't feature much AR - tap and swipe to shoot the enemy until he's dead. But there's an Ingress-style location-based element to help you find items or credits, and players can take photos of their customized mechs on real-world backgrounds. Duke it out with local players to become king of the hill... and hope they haven't spent more on in-app purchases than you have.
